The Aulonocara maylandi, commonly known as the Sulfurhead Peacock or Maylandi Cichlid, is a visually striking African cichlid from Lake Malawi. Males are particularly notable for their bright yellow "blaze" or stripe extending from the nose, along the head, and onto the dorsal fin, contrasted by a deep blue body. They are relatively peaceful compared to other peacock cichlids and are prized by hobbyists for their vibrant colors and unique appearance.
