Description
The avocado puffer, also known as the long-spined porcupinefish, is a species of fish found in the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean, including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. These puffers have a distinct appearance with their elongated spines and rounded bodies.
In terms of pH and temperature, avocado puffers require a pH range between 8.1 and 8.4, which is considered slightly alkaline. They also prefer a temperature range between 75°F and 82°F (24°C to 28°C), which is relatively warm. It is important to maintain these optimal water conditions in their aquarium to ensure their health and wellbeing. Additionally, avocado puffers are known to inflate their bodies as a defense mechanism when threatened, so it's important to provide them with ample space and hiding spots in their tank to prevent stress.
