Black Oranda

The Black Oranda is a fancy goldfish variety that is characterized by its unique features such as a prominent head growth or wen, and a deep black coloration. They prefer a pH level between 6.5-7.5 and a temperature range of 68-72°F. Black Orandas are omnivorous and require a balanced diet consisting of flakes or pellets and fresh vegetables. They also require a well-filtered aquarium with plenty of oxygen and low to moderate water flow. Black Orandas are peaceful and can be kept with other non-aggressive fish of similar size. However, their wen growth requires special attention to avoid bacterial infections and regular maintenance is required to keep their water quality in check. With proper care, Black Orandas can live for up to 10-15 years in captivity.
