Neon Rainbow Fish

The Neon Rainbowfish (Melanotaenia praecox) is a small and peaceful freshwater fish species native to the rainforest streams of New Guinea. These fish are known for their striking and vibrant coloration, featuring a metallic blue body with a distinctive rainbow stripe running from their eyes to their tails. Neon Rainbowfish are popular among aquarists due to their peaceful temperament and easy-going nature, making them a great addition to a community aquarium. They require a well-planted aquarium with a temperature range of 73-82°F and a pH between 6.5-7.5. These omnivorous fish should be fed a varied diet of flake, pellet, and frozen foods. With proper care, Neon Rainbowfish can live up to 5-7 years.
