Steel Blue Killifish

Steel Blue Killifish, also known as Pseudomugil furcatus, are small, colorful freshwater fish popular in aquariums. They typically have a striking blue coloration with hints of silver and can grow up to about 2.5 inches (6 cm) in length. Here are some care tips for them:

• Tank Setup: Provide a well-planted aquarium with plenty of hiding spots. A planted tank with gentle water flow mimics their natural habitat.
• Water Conditions: They prefer slightly acidic to neutral water with a temperature range of 75-82°F (24-28°C). Regular water changes and a good filtration system are important.
• Diet: Feed them a varied diet of high-quality flake food, live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, and small insects.
• Tank Mates: They are peaceful and can be kept with other small, non-aggressive fish. Avoid large or aggressive species.
• Breeding: They are relatively easy to breed in the right conditions. Provide dense vegetation and separate the eggs from the adults to prevent them from being eaten.
