• Dim lighting with subdued decor enhances their natural colors and makes them feel secure.

• Temperature: 22-28°C (72-82°F).
• pH: 6.0-7.5.
• Water hardness: Soft to moderately hard.

Diet:

• Feed them a varied diet of live, frozen, or fresh foods like bloodworms, shrimp, small fish, or insects.
• Occasionally offer high-quality pellets formulated for carnivorous fish.

Behavior:

• Semi-aggressive and highly territorial.
• Best kept alone or in a species-only tank, especially if not provided ample space.
• Observe interactions if kept in pairs or groups, as they can be aggressive toward tankmates.

Maintenance:

• Regularly change 20-30% of the water weekly to maintain quality.
• Ensure a secure lid on the tank, as Channa Auranti is an excellent jumper.
