Description
Corydoras genus, and this can be credited to its beautiful markings. Its head features white dots on a black background, which is a very unique characteristic for corydoras, as most of them have these colors reversed. The body is speckled with both black and white dots that provide an absolutely stunning contrast, especially with its orange pectoral fins. Much like its cousin, the Peppered Cory (Corydoras paleatus), this catfish exhibits very interesting and often playful behavior. It is fairly small (they grow to a maximum of about 2-1/2 inches), so it is ideal for the home aquarium.

Tank Setup:
- Provide a well-decorated aquarium with plenty of hiding spots such as caves, plants, and driftwood. The Sterbai Corydoras enjoys exploring and seeking refuge in these areas.
- Use a fine-grained substrate like sand to mimic their natural environment and to prevent any potential injuries to their delicate barbels.
- Ensure efficient filtration to maintain excellent water quality, as the Corydoras Sterbai is sensitive to poor water conditions.
Special Considerations:
- Regular water testing and maintenance are crucial to ensure optimal water quality for the health and well-being of the Corydoras Sterbai.
- Provide ample hiding spots and structures in the tank to cater to their natural behavior and need for shelter.
- Avoid keeping the Corydoras Sterbai with aggressive or fin-nipping species to prevent any harm to their delicate fins.
