Sera Raffy I Nature is the treat without dyes and preservatives consisting of natural, gently dried gammarus (43.5%), shrimps (43.5%), small fish and krill for terrapins and other (occasionally) carnivorous smaller reptiles as well as amphibians.

The blend, which represents the natural nutrition spectrum, is rich in optimally useable protein, omega fatty acids, valuable carotenoids, minerals and trace elements as well as in fibers that regulate digestion.

This tasty snack supports disease resistance, development and liveliness when fed regularly.

Information about composition change at the end of 2021: Gammarus pulex has always been the preferable natural food for carnivorous terrapins. This is traditionally due to the high quality nutritional profile as well as the high availability of gammarus. Unfortunately, the effects of climate change can be noticed also in this area. Warming of Gammarus source waters in 2021 had a negative impact on harvest levels. Since catching them sustainably is very important to sera, and only this can ensure a contribution to lasting preservation of the species, sera decided to also include shrimps in the composition of the product sera Raffy I. These replace 50% of the gammarus percentage and provide an even better dietary balance due to their higher protein percentage. At the same time, gammarus still present in the product ensures appropriate supply of the animals with calcium, magnesium, trace elements and beta carotene.

Natural reptile food

This product belongs to the “sera Nature” product range and does not require any dyes and preservatives. The colors of the different food types are due to the natural ingredients. A varied diet with ingredients close to nature is the best protection against deficiencies, and supports health and liveliness of the reptiles. The Nature food types therefore contain natural ingredients such as spirulina, gammarus or gently dried herbs and blossoms. The signets on the package front side indicate these ingredients and their amounts in the food.
