Overview:
- The White Wizard Snail, also known as Tylomelania sp. White, is a stunning freshwater snail species prized for its unique appearance and beneficial role in aquarium ecosystems.
- Originating from Southeast Asia, particularly the island of Sulawesi, these snails are highly sought after by aquarists for their striking white coloration and intriguing spiral shell patterns.

- Temperature: Maintain water temperatures between 75°F to 82°F (24°C to 28°C) for optimal health and activity of White Wizard Snails.
- pH Levels: Prefer slightly alkaline to neutral water with a pH range of 7.0 to 8.0.
- Water Hardness: Tolerates moderate to hard water conditions, but prefers water with a hardness of 8 to 15 dGH.
Tank Mates:

- Suitable Tank Mates: Include other peaceful fish species such as tetras, rasboras, danios, gouramis, and small to medium-sized shrimp.
- Avoid Aggressive Species: Avoid housing with aggressive or predatory fish that may harm or stress the White Wizard Snails.
Feeding Habit:
- Detritivores: White Wizard Snails are detritivores, meaning they primarily feed on decaying plant matter, algae, and organic debris.
- Supplemental Feeding: Offer blanched vegetables such as zucchini, cucumber, or spinach, as well as sinking algae wafers or pellets to supplement their diet.
- Feed Sparingly: Avoid overfeeding, as excess food can lead to water quality issues and shell deterioration in the aquarium.
Care:
- Tank Size: Provide a well-established aquarium of at least 10 gallons to accommodate a small group of White Wizard Snails comfortably.
- Substrate: Use fine sand or smooth gravel substrate to prevent damage to the snails' delicate foot and shell.
- Water Quality: Maintain excellent water quality through regular water changes and efficient filtration to ensure the health and well-being of the White Wizard Snails.
Behavior:
- Nocturnal Activity: White Wizard Snails are primarily nocturnal and may be more active during the nighttime hours.
- Burrowing Behavior: These snails may burrow into the substrate or hide among decorations during the day, emerging at night to forage for food.
Reproduction:
- Live-Bearing: White Wizard Snails are live-bearing snails, with females giving birth to fully formed juveniles instead of laying eggs.
- Slow Reproduction Rate: They have a relatively slow reproduction rate compared to other snail species, with offspring appearing sporadically over time.
Challenges:
- Handling: Handle White Wizard Snails with care when moving them or performing maintenance in the aquarium to avoid damaging their delicate shells.
- Compatibility: Ensure compatibility with tank mates, especially if housing with fish or other invertebrates that may prey on or harass the snails
