Demon Eartheater Cichlid (Satanoperca Jurupari)

Satanoperca jurupari is a fascinating cichlid known as an “eartheater” because of its distinctive feeding behavior—sifting through sand to find worms, insect larvae, and organic debris.

It has a flattened, elongated body with rounded dorsal and anal fins. The body coloration is generally golden-brown with subtle spots or stripes, while males are slightly larger and more brightly colored, with longer fins and more distinct patterns. Adult size can reach 20–25 cm.
