Electric Blue Hap Cichlid (Sciaenochromis Fryeri)

Sciaenochromis Fryeri, often called the Electric Blue Hap, is one of the most iconic and admired cichlids from Lake Malawi. Known for its intense metallic blue coloration and streamlined body, this species radiates elegance and power, making it a centerpiece fish in any African cichlid aquarium.

Mature males glow with vibrant shades of electric blue, while females and juveniles remain a soft silver-gray. Peaceful by nature, the Fryeri coexists well with other mild to moderately aggressive haps and peacocks when provided ample swimming space and hiding spots.
