Lentipes Mekonggaensis Goby

Lentipes mekonggaensis is a rare and highly attractive freshwater goby species known for its vivid colors and energetic behavior. Males often display striking combinations of red, orange, blue, and metallic tones, making this species a true highlight in river-style and aquascape aquariums.

This species is active but generally peaceful, thriving best with other non-aggressive fish. Lentipes mekonggaensis enjoys strong water movement and spends much of its time swimming among rocks, where it grazes on algae and biofilm growing on hard surfaces.

In the aquarium, Lentipes mekonggaensis requires very clean, well-oxygenated water with moderate to strong current to reflect its natural fast-flowing stream habitat. With stable water parameters, smooth rocks, and plenty of grazing areas, this species adds intense color, natural behavior, and high educational value to freshwater aquariums.
