Threadfin Goby (Sicyopterus Longifilis)

Sicyopterus longifilis is an attractive freshwater goby known for its slender body and long, flowing fins that give it an elegant appearance. Its coloration is usually a mix of gray, silver, and soft blue tones, sometimes with subtle patterns that look very natural in aquascape setups.

This species is peaceful and active, making it a good choice for community tanks with calm fish. Sicyopterus longifilis spends most of its time near rocks and the bottom of the aquarium, where it grazes on algae and biofilm while moving gracefully with the water flow.

It prefers clean, well-oxygenated water with moderate to strong current, similar to fast-flowing rivers in the wild. With stable water conditions and enough rocks, Sicyopterus longifilis adds a natural, river-like beauty and gentle movement to freshwater aquariums.
