European Coldwater Stream

Not every aquarium needs a heater. Europe's rivers, streams, and ponds are home to wonderfully attractive fish that actually prefer cooler water — species that thrive at room temperature and reward keepers with colours and behaviours rarely seen in tropical fish. This bundle is an ode to the temperate freshwater world that is so often overlooked in favour of the exotic.

White Cloud Mountain Minnows are delicate, subtly beautiful fish with red-tipped fins and a calm, undemanding temperament — they look best in a school against a green planted background. Paradise Fish are one of the oldest ornamental fish in the hobby, with flowing fins and bold blue and orange markings; males require careful management in a community setting. Danios bring activity and hardiness to the upper layers. Dojo Loaches are large, curious, and endlessly entertaining bottom-dwellers that can be trained to feed from the hand. No heater needed — these species do best at 16–22°C.
